I went to their shop in Marin County (just past the golden gate bridge) due to a engine light flashing...had to be towed in...they wanted $500 or $600 to change all the spark plugs...I thought it was too much..but then he said I still owed $125 or thereabouts for the "diagnosis". I said it was a ridiculous amount and that i wasn't impressed by the amount of time it took to come up with such a conclusion (two days). I am not stupid about automotive repairs, but don't carry tools to do it myself on the road (i was returning to southern cal). Plus they were treating me disrespectfully the 2nd day..I don't know why. So I said the most I would pay is $70...and the desk lady tried to scare me saying to the mechanic "Should I call the police?" I would have been fine with that...because I was the one being robbed, not them. But the mechanic agreed to $70. He apparently expected Marin County customers to pay that much on a regular basis, but I'm not a Marin county person, just passing thru. And he also added, "You cannot come back here" as if I wanted to; and yet now they send this to me ?! is this their idea of a bad joke ?!
