to ALL CLERKS, STOP THINKING U ARE SUPERIOR TO EVERYBODY ELSE ...it must be a real EGO BOOST to you to be a clerk at a market or gas station or convenience store...maybe you feel you have the right to stand in JUDGMENT over others, but the reality is that you are working there because you DROPPED OUT of what society deems to be the path to good citizenship, namely STAYING IN SCHOOL.
I'm sure you have your "good reasons" for not completing high school or college, but there were LOTS of times I wanted to QUIT TOO, ...but I hung in there..sometimes tired even exhausted ..sometimes doing great , other times not so great.. sometimes confused, even nervous I might not make it, but I hung in there, kept learning & growing, kept going..
I took classes I had NO INITIAL INTEREST in because they were required and later I became more interested and knowledgeable, making me more aware of the world around me and how things work and more compassionate and knowledgeable about the people around me...
not just judgmental..and learned a 2nd language (Spanish) and a 3rd (Greek) and a 4th (Hebrew), and learned about history, and math, and English, and psychology, and physical education, and the LIST GOES ON...all things to make us better well-rounded citizens, not just people who county pennies at the cash register.
I wouldn't be ANGRY at you but the problem is that some of you stand in judgment over the rest of the world...you actually think you are SUPERIOR to the rest of us.., even in some cases you come from other countries and get a job as a clerk, and you start out friendly and thankful to have a job,
.. but you grow callous and cynical and supercillious towards the rest of us; you can ALWAYS go back to school and find out there is MUCH MORE to LIFE than just making sure nobody is shoplifting and making sure the bottom line matches up (and I know , by the way, some of you, take a few things you're not supposed too...
I wasn't born yesterday...so STOP Judging everybody else...take the LOG out of your own eye, and start becoming members of the rest of the world. A job as a clerk is a good temp job...make some money to pay the bills but NOT FOREVER ! IT wasn't meant to be a forever job ! C'mon, start living, truly living, not just hiding behind a counter forever.
