"Sorry boss" said I to the world cup viewing parking attendant (overweight latino) who called me "boss" as I arrived at the segerstrom center in costa mesa..thinking it was free parking (actually to park at the free viewing party costs $10) I made a u-turn & "mirrored" his subtle insult. Remember, calling a person "boss" is a way of disrespecting them,even if they sound so nice. I think Latinos use the "boss" insult more than any other ethnic group around southern Cal.
