Despite me getting up and asking the bearded Latino guy behind the counter "are u going to turn the lights out? " he responded sullenly, "are they on? " uh, no, I just got up to tell you because they are actually off. I went back and sat down and the lights stayed know for ten more minutes. I wondered if I was receiving the "white treatment" that we too often get from some of the majority Latinos in southern cal [they really are in control of us here in LA, all we can do is hope & pray for fair treatment; and rarely mentioned is how Latinos discriminate against blacks.
