ORTIZ TIRE & WHEELS, Oakland CA

There's NO SHORTAGE of tire shops in the Oakland area so if they want repeat business they need to make a case for why they're better than anybody else.

For me, if I drive into a auto repair or tire shop, first thing I hope is that somebody will acknowledge my presence and will quickly help me or at least say "we'll will be with you in a moment sir" . something like that.

My first time at this place I drove in and there were three workers doing tires and NONE of them said anything to me. I was starting to wonder if I was invisible.

I waited a few seconds and then nobody came up to help me or said just a moment please, and so I was just about ready to leave, and somebody came out of the darkness of the garage and offered to help. So I got a decent tire for $80.

But the next thing was that when I paid the guy on the other side of the little window- he DIDN'T SAY a single thing- NOT even thank you for your business or anything like that. Not even simply thanks.

I mean if they don't care about me coming back I guess I won't.
