Not to defend the shooting,but it sounds like they were deliberately provoking her by leaving the bacon off the burger,repeatedly. There are some nefarious clerks out there who entertain themselves by subtle provocations. I remember at a del taco drive thru where I asked the clerk to throw some hot sauce in the bag,& he nodded,but after leaving I found no hot sauce in the bag. I believed it was a deliberate provocation.
